(London, Ontario) – The No. 7 CCAA ranked Fanshawe Falcons Men's Soccer squad (9-1) punched their ticket to the OCAA Provincial Championship with a 10-0 home victory over the Cambrian Golden Shield (1-6-2, 7th in East).

Jonathan Kam (London, ON) opened the scoring for the Falcons in the first minute on Saturday afternoon. Fanshawe followed that with an excellent ball by Tomas Alvarez (London, ON) to set up Ben Vyfschaft (London, ON) in the 17th minute for the second goal of the game. Bradley Heath (Markham, ON) made the score 3-0 for the red and white on a penalty kick. Kam notched his second goal of the game in the 25th minute, beating the Cambrian keeper short side on an excellent strike. Vyfschaft would stretch Fanshawe's lead to 5-0 before half time.

In the second half, the Falcons continued to dominate the play. Strong defence from the home team shut down any opportunities the Golden Shield attempted to create. Theodoros Mihalopulos (London, ON) scored a beauty off of a rebound for Fanshawe. Vyfschaft completed the hat trick in the 63rd minute to give the home team a 7-0 advantage. Joseph Willingham-Murphy (London, UK) and Engjell Qamili (London, ON) would get themselves on the scoresheet with goals of their own. Vyfschaft would add a final tally to make the final score 10-0.
