TORONTO - The following student-athletes have been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for their accomplishments during the seven-day period ending Sunday, Sept. 16:

Sport: Women's Softball
Hometown: Monkton, Ont.
Fanshawe rookie pitcher Nichole Erb led the Fanshawe women's softball team to three victories this week. She went 3-0 on the rubber with wins against first-place St. Clair, defending champion Durham and Conestoga, all teams currently ahead of the Falcons (3-5) in the OCAA standings. Erb threw 331 pitches and 208 strikes over the six-game home stand, striking out 11. Her best performance came against Conestoga on Sunday in the second half of a doubleheader, allowing one run on three hits over five innings of work. She also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double.
