(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Badminton team traveled to Conestoga College on Friday, February 2 for the OCAA West Regional tournament. The Falcons Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles teams have all advanced.
Fanshawe's Arpitraj Sinha (Markham, ON) and Roshan Rajan Jacob (London, ON) placed second in the Men's Doubles category with an overall record of 3-1. One of the pair's highlights came from dominating victories against their opponents from Lambton College. Final scores stood at 21-7 and 21-8 in Fanshawe's favour.
The Falcons Women's Doubles team represented by Xinyi Ge (Chengdu, Sichuan China) and Kathleen Cajala (Simcoe, ON), and the Mixed Doubles team made up of Eugene Kim (Seoul, Korea) and Druvsinh Chavda (Gujarat, India) also moved onto the Provincial Championships. Both teams finished 3rd after four rounds of play.
