(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Badminton team claimed two OCAA medals on Saturday at the 2023 OCAA Badminton Provincial Championships in Aurora. The OCAA Championships were hosted by Seneca College at the KC Badminton Club.

In Women's Doubles, the duo of Morgan Grant (Thamesville, ON) and Mook Prasarn (Thailand) captured the silver medal after dropping the championship match to Humber 2-0. After going 1-1 in round robin play, Grant and Prasarn defeated Conestoga in the semi-final by scores of 21-9 and 21-13 to advance. Grant and Prasarn will now represent the Falcons at the 2023 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Badminton National Championships in Truro, Nova Scotia from March 8-11, 2023.

Arpitraj Sinha (Markham, ON) brings home the Men's Singles OCAA bronze medal for the Falcons. Sinha went 2-2 in round robin before falling in the semi-final to Vishal Dave of Centennial 2-0. He then defeated Sadak Ali of Conestoga in the bronze medal match by a score of 15-21, 21-10, 21-11 to finish third place.
