The annual Fanshawe Badminton Invitational took place last weekend at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre.
Falcons rookie Melanie Wade (Calgary, AB) had an excellent showing, winning her Women's Singles 'A' flight quarterfinal match over Courtney Brewer of Georgian. She would then fall to the eventual champion, Chloe Rowe of Humber, in the semi-final.
San Dang (London, ON) also had a good tournament, however fell to Ace Zeng from George Brown in the Men's Singles 'A' flight quarterfinal.
Dang also competed in Men's Doubles with teammate Kevin Wong (Hamilton, ON). The pair lost a close match in the 'B' flight final to Seneca's team of Wong and Liang by scores of 19-21, 21-17 and 19-21.
The team's next tournament will be from December 8-9 in Toronto hosted by George Brown College.
