(London, Ontario) – In this week's edition of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national rankings, the Fanshawe Falcons Women's Volleyball and Basketball teams both moved up the ladder.
The Women's Volleyball squad climbed one spot from No. 4 to No. 3 in Canada. The Falcons are currently 13-0 and have stretched their OCAA winning streak to 36 games after a 3-1 victory over No. 14 Humber. Fanshawe sits at the top of the OCAA West Division and have clinched a playoff spot.
After being ranked No. 8 the past five weeks, the Fanshawe Women's Basketball team jumped to No. 5 this week after defeating previously No. 3 Humber in an outstanding display of Women's Basketball from both sides. The Falcons came away with a 101-98 overtime victory in front of a packed Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre, putting them in a tie for first place in the OCAA West with the Hawks. Both teams now have identical records of 12-1.
