Fanshawe Women’s Soccer and Men’s Golf Move Up in CCAA Rankings

(London, Ontario) – The Fanshawe Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Men's Golf and Women's Golf teams are all in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national rankings again this week.

 

The Women's Soccer squad (3-0-1) moved up to No. 2 in the nation after a dominating 5-0 win at previously No. 13 and undefeated Mohawk last Saturday. The Falcons will look to extend their OCAA unbeaten streak to 19 games this upcoming Friday, September 27 on the road against Niagara. Other OCAA teams that are ranked include Algonquin (7), Seneca (9) and St. Lawrence (14). The Men's Soccer team sits at No. 8 in Canada with a 3-1 record. Other ranked OCAA teams include No. 1 Humber, Algonquin (6), Sheridan (13) and Durham (15).

 

The Fanshawe Men's Golf team moved up one spot this week to No. 3 nationally after an impressive team performance at the Lakehead-Orillia Invitational at Hawk Ridge last Wednesday, where they finished in first place. The Falcons scored a 284, four strokes better than No. 2 Humber. St. Lawrence is also ranked at No. 9. The Women's team dropped to No. 4 in the CCAA this week. Other OCAA teams that are ranked include Humber (3) and Georgian (8). The Golf squads are back in action on Thursday, September 26 at Heron Point Golf Club.
