(London, Ontario) – Three Fanshawe Falcons teams will host OCAA regular season home openers this Saturday, September 7.
The Fanshawe Soccer squads will kick off their seasons against the Sheridan Bruins at the Fanshawe Soccer Field. The defending OCAA Provincial champion Women's team will play at 12pm, followed by the Men at 2pm.
The Falcons Softball team will host their first games of the 2019 OCAA regular season on the beautiful new Fanshawe Alumni Field. Fanshawe will face the Conestoga Condors at 1pm and 3pm.
Fanshawe Athletics will host their annual Falcons Fest event during both the Soccer and Softball games. There will be free hot dogs and soft drinks while supplies last for all Falcons fans during the quad-header and admission for all fans is free.
The Fanshawe Baseball team will also have their home opener on Saturday, at 6pm and 8:30pm at historic Labatt Park. In a battle against last year's OCAA gold medalists and national champions, the Falcons will look to start their season off with a pair of wins against the Humber Hawks. General admission tickets are $5 per person, with free admission for kids under six and Fanshawe students with their FANcard. Tickets are cash only and will be available at the gates of Labatt Park on Falcons game days, one hour prior to game time.
